Pakistani siren Veena Malik says Nitish Kumar’s visit will make him ‘loved by all’

Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar will have a tough act to follow when he visits Pakistan next month.
Pakistani starlet Veena Malik said Nitish’s arch rival and RJD chief Lalu Prasad was ahead of him on the popularity charts in the neighbouring country.
Malik, who was in Patna, said Lalu was very popular in Pakistan since he visited nine years ago. “There is no doubt about Lalu’s popularity in Pakistan… Even I have met him,” she said on Sunday.
But Veena said Nitish too will become popular in Pakistan after his visit. “Anybody who tries to bring the two communities closer is bound to be popular and is loved by all,” she said.
“It is a matter of immense happiness that Nitishji is visiting. He is also popular in Pakistan because of his work and that is why he was invited by a parliamentary delegation from Pakistan that visited Bihar,” she said.
“Such visits foster closer bonds between people of the two nations.” She said the two countries should progress together.
“We are neighbours and we ought to remain loyal friends… The new generation should strengthen bilateral ties and work for peace and amity. The Bihar CM’s upcoming visit is a step in that direction.”

Malik, who had been shooting for the Kannada version of The Dirty Picture in Bangalore before coming to Patna, said she was happy to be in Bihar on her first ever visit.
“Patna looks like a green and clean city,” she said. “It is much more beautiful than what I had expected. It looks a lot like Rawalpindi, where I was born.”
She said she had heard of Patna in a Bollywood song and always wanted to visit. “I hope to find my soulmate here,” she quipped. She added that she was keen on doing Bhojpuri films.
“Regional films are doing well here. I would love to act in Bhojpuri films if I get good offers,” she said. “Who knows my next film will be in Bhojpuri itself.”
Nitish will be in Pakistan on an eight-day visit from November 9. He will lead a delegation consisting of ministers Renu Kumari Kushwaha, Sukhda Pandey, and the head of the Khuda Baksha Oriental Library, Imtiyaz Ahmad. Chairman of the Bihar State Minority Commission Naushad Ahmad will also attend, as well as administrative officials headed by chief secretary Ashok Kumar Sinha.
