The cable operators in the city tonight blacked out the Colors channel, which telecasts the popular reality TV show ‘Bigg Boss-4′, to protest inclusion of two artistes from Pakistan in the show.

Confirming the development, a spokesperson for Colors TV said the cable operators have informed them that they would completely black it out by 2100 hrs, when the episode of ‘Bigg Boss’ show is scheduled to go on air.

Earlier, the Shiv Sena had reportedly issued an ultimatum to the Colors TV to remove the two Pakistani stars — Veena Malik and Begum Nawazish Ali — from the show by 1800 hrs today, failing which they would resort to blocking the channel.

Cable subscribers from different parts of Mumbai and Thane also confirmed that Colors TV had suddenly gone off the air.

While talking to UNI, Shiv Sena spokesperson Neelam Gore said she was not aware of the same.

It may be recalled that Sena has been agitating in Lonavala, where the ‘Bigg Boss-4′ shooting is currently underway, demanding removal of the two Pakistani actors from the show.
