MUMBAI/PUNE: Even as Shiv Sena renewed its agitation against the two Pakistani actors who are part of the reality TV show ‘Bigg Boss’ — which is being shot at a bungalow in Lonavla near Pune — Maharashtra government denied reports that it was planning to ban the show.
Home minister RR Patil ruled out possibility of imposing any official edict prohibiting shooting. ”We’ve asked district administration to provide adequate security in view of an agitation launched by Shiv Sena,” said Patil.
The state government had asked district administration and home department to examine papers submitted by
Pakistani actors. ”Their paperwork checked out; the actors have come to India on business and not tourist visa. By law, they have the right to perform in India,” said home minister.
