Report by Santanu Ganguly; New Delhi: Till now we have seen reality shows on entertainment channels but this is the first time that any Indian news channel has gone all out to launch a reality TV show “Big toss” involving celebrities for a World Cup sporting event.
As World Cup fever grips the Indian subcontinent, India TV has assembled top notch celebrities, notably Veena Malik and Rakhi Sawant, and Pop singer Shankar Sahney, Ahok Masti, Ex- cricketer YograjSingh, Sylvie, Swamy Aravind, ModelSakshi Bhayana, RJ Simran and many more. They will watch World Cup cricket matches involving India and discuss the pros and cons of players in their inimitable style. The guests will be housed in an exclusive villa.
There will around 14 to 15 celebrities will stay in a villa and will be divided into two groups. Whenever there will be India’s match they will be given cricket related tasks. Anyways everyday there will be fun inside the villa as we have celeb like Veena Mallik and Rakhi Sawant in the big toss house.
India TV’s Vinod Kapri managing editor, India TV said, “At the time when Team India will be playing World Cup match all individual house mates have to chose their favorite players and would then wait for the next day to see their performance in the match involving Team India and their teams will be awarded points on the basis of performance of players chosen by them. Whosoever gets the highest points will be adjudged the winner. I hope the audience will like it and enjoy the show beside this we also have hot Veena Malik and Rakhi Sawant to add on the spices to the show”
Outlining the contours of the TV reality show, Vinod Kapri said, this will be the first time any Indian news channel will be hosting a reality show in the run-up to the coverage of a World Cup sporting event.
First the show “Big Toss” was been telecasted once in a week but due to its popularity it will be coming every day at 8 pm on India TV.
