Riya Sen and Veena Malik have had a lot of things in common, they romanced the same guy in the first place, and have had their share of limelight with skimpy clothes and controversies.

But the icing on the cake is the two actresses are now part of the same project – Zindagi 50-50.

This has not gone down well with Riya, as she doesn’t seem happy and comfortable to be sharing screen space with Veena – Ashmit Patel’s ex flame.

While on the reality show Bigg Boss, Ashmit openly spoke about his relationship and the video clip (MMS) with Riya, and in turn he gained all the sympathy along with Veena’s love.

I is alleged that Ashmit circulated the MMS clip on the Internet after his break-up with Riya.

All the drama surely garnered audience’s attention to Ashmit- Veena’s budding love but Riya stayed miffed about the whole issue.

Well aware of the controversy, the makers of Zindagi 50-50 have shot scenes of both the actresses separately, so that Riya and Veena never cross paths.

And confirming this Riya said: ‘I don’t have any shots with Veena. It was not mentioned in the script.’ And even the title track of the film will be shot separately with both of us.

However, director Rajiv Ruia has a different explanation to give. He said: ‘Riya plays an upcoming actress, and Veena a sex worker. They are not related in any way hence we have shot them separately.’

The explanation doesn’t sound convincing, but the fact remains that Ashmit is going to enjoy shooting for this movie.
