Regarding allegations in Indian media, Veena said she was being subjected to media trial in India for exposing Indian bookies involved in match-fixing. “All clues in match-fixing lead to Indian soil. India is the hub of betting in cricket,” she maintained. Veena said she had told the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) regarding match-fixing which could have helped the board to control this menace. “But nobody paid any heed to my words.”
Referring to match-fixing allegations against her former boy friend Asif, she said those who put the national honour at stake through their nefarious acts should not be forgiven at all. “I provided all proofs against Asif to the ICC in the larger interest of the country and the game.” app
