Both Diwali releases this year – Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Son Of Sardaar – once again proved that two films can release on the same date and still do well. In the past too, two films, Dil and Ghayal, and Lagaan and Gadar – Ek Prem Katha, released on the same date and did very well. However, note that the genres of all these competing films were not the same and they didn’t end up splitting the audience.

Come March 1, 2013, and two movies – Supern Varma’s Aatma and Hemant   Madhukar’s Mumbai 125 KM – will clash with each other. And both are horror flicks. If Aatma is just a horror film, Mumbai 125 KM has an added element – it’s been shot in 3D format. If Aatma has Bipasha Basu as the main attraction, Mumbai 125 KM features Pakistani actress Veena Malik. Well, Malik may not be as big a name as Basu for the Indian audience but when it’s public knowledge that Malik is playing a witch in the film, you never know! Here’s wishing both movies tons of luck!
