Veena Malik, who was eagerly looking forward to the third season of Swayamvar – Veena ka Vivah might have to wait longer. Imagine TV, in which the show was to be aired, has announced that they would be shutting down soon.

Even while Veena Malik was busy preparing for her reality show on Imagine TV titled Swayamvar – Veena ka Vivah, there is buzz that Imagine TV has decided to close down because of low TRPs.

Even shows like Jamuna Paar by Rajan Shahi, Zor Ka Jhatka and Sawaare Sabke Sapne Preeto are unable to fetch more TRP’s for the channel. Even though the channel got the best masterminds to work with them, they did not succeed in getting more people to watch their shows. Newly launched channel Life OK is doing far better than Imagine TV.

According to a website, all those people working for the channel have been intimidated by the channel regarding the new development.

Veena made headlines across the world late last year when saucy pictures of her appeared in the Indian online edition of the men’s magazine. She denied posing naked for the shoot, insisting that she wore underwear throughout.

She was also styled with an Inter-Services Intelligence tattoo (representing the Pakistan Government’s intelligence agency) on her arm for the shoot, with the tagline “hand in the end of the world too?”

Blessed with a huge fan following, Veena also has two new films coming out over the next couple of months and is due to launch her singing career very soon, too.

While her outspoken views have seen her come under fire, they have also won her many fans from Pakistan’s youth and liberals. Once confronted about her “immoral” behaviour by cleric Mufti Abdul Qawi on a talk show, she insisted that Pakistan had far more issues to focus on than her.
