Controversy’s favourite child, Veena Malik, is locking many headlines these days because she is going to be seen playing a lead role opposite to her ex-flame Ashmit Patel in Navin Batra’s much-anticipated upcoming film ‘Supermodel’ and the director reckons Veena is the perfect choice for the movie.
The controversial queen of Pakistan, Veena Malik, has always remained under a lot discussion for wrong reasons in India and Pakistan.
After facing many controversies in her country, Ms. Malik rose to fame in India during her stint in the ‘Bigg Boss 4’ house since she started an affair with Ashmit. Later on the actress gained media limelight when she suddenly disappeared for two days without informing anyone while she was shooting for ‘Mumbai 125 Km’. She was also accused by one of her co-stars for an assault.
Keeping these reasons in front, Batra believes her life resembles much with a real life of a supermodel, as they always remain under discussion.
While talking on his inclusion, Batra insisted, Veena is the apt choice for the film. The director related her with the British model, Naomi Campbell, who is among the top three most recognisable and in-demand models of the late 1980s and early 1990s.
“Veena’s life as a celebrity has also gone through many phases and many controversies surrounding her and professionally also she is a successful model and actress and is the apt choice for the film,” says the director Navin Batra. “Her body laungauge and her style and poise is that of a supermodel as is stated many times earlier by the media and this makes her the right choice.”
Well, all said and done, ‘Supermodel’ will certainly make many out there flock to the cinemas since people are anxiously waiting to see how Veena and Ashmit will act together.
