Exclusive: Wannabe actress drags Veena Malik in fake controversy !
Source:daily.bhaskar.com

Pakistani actress Veena Malik is always a talking point. The actress’ popularity is so immense that every third person wants to get affiliated with Veena to garner cheap publicity.
A wannabe model Vedita Pratap Singh, who shares her screen presence with Veena Malik in the film ‘Mumbai 125 kilometers’ had accused the Pakistani actress of manhandling her on the sets sometime back.
Now, Veena Malik has broken her silence and lashed out at her. “Who is this girl and why should I be insecure of her. She (Vedita) just wants to garner cheap publicity at my cost,” said Veena over the phone from Dubai.
Veena added, “It is a concocted story, I am in Dubai since last 30 days, how can I manhandle or hurt her. The incident which she claims to be real is actually a reel shot and her injury seen on her forehead in the picture, is mere makeup and a film grab”.
The filmmaker Hemant Madhukar also substantiated Veena’s stand, “I am not aware of any such incident on the sets of my film. Since December 24, Veena has not shot a single scene for us. I don’t know what is Vedita talking about”.

Veena Malik denies allegations of assaulting co-actor

MUMBAI: Pakistani actor Veena Malik snubbed rumors alleging that she assaulted a co-actor during the shooting of the film Mumbai 125k.
In a press release, Malik said, “Who is this girl and why should I be insecure of her. She (Vedita Pratap) just wants to garner cheap publicity at my cost.”
“It is a concocted story, I have been in Dubai since the last 30 days, how can I manhandle or hurt her,” said Malik. “The incident which she claims to be real is actually a reel shot and the injuries seen on her forehead were made up for the shot.”
The filmmaker Hemant Madhukar verified Veena’s stand and said, “I am not aware of any such incident on the set of my film. Since December 24, Veena has not shot a single scene for us. I don’t know what Vedita is talking about.”
Earlier, Pratab had alleged that Veena had deliberately hurt her while filming the sequence for the horror thriller film. “It was an action sequence. I was supposed to be beaten up. I don’t know what happened to Veena. She actually hurt me and she did it so badly that I had nail marks on my body.”
Speaking to tabloid Mumbai Mirror, she said, “I don’t know what was wrong with her. And then she pushed me so badly and banged my head on the rod. After the incident, I spoke to the director and told him that she is deliberately doing this. Acting is one thing, but this is just over acting.”

Veena Malik: Will give love one more chance

Will try her luck through reality show ‘Swayamvar’

Veena Malik, the controversy queen, has decided to give “love one more chance”.
The Pakistani actress and model is all set to select her groom in the latest season of the reality show ‘Swayamvar’.
The show ‘Swayamvar – Veena Ka Vivaah’ is in its fourth season and had earlier featured item girl Rakhi Sawant, Rahul Mahajan and Ratan Rajput.
Veena has been embroiled in lot of controversies for the past few months but this does not seem to have any affect in her growth- be it TV or Bollywood.
But now Veena wants to get over her nude photo shoot, her sudden disappearance from the shooting and her father disowning her.
All she wants to do is – concentrate on finding a groom.
“It’s a beautiful platform to choose your groom among so many prospective grooms. So far in my life maybe there were 8 to 9 people who have proposed to me directly or indirectly but through this platform we have received more than 75, 000 entries from across the globe which is a world record.” said Veena Malik.
“Initially I was a bit skeptical about the idea of choosing a groom in a show. But after the entire concept was explained to me I decided to give love one more chance through marriage. So I am really excited and nervous to meet Mr Right,” quipped Veena.
While chatting with Emirates 24|7 Veena gives a detailed low-down about the show.
“Swayamvar is a very old custom which comes from India, very old tradition where the princess used to choose their own groom through such ceremonies and all. The format is that there will be different tasks given to the prospective grooms so their real self will reveal step by step (through those tasks). After receiving all the applications some 200 participants will be shortlisted. Again from 200 the number will come down to 17 prospective grooms.”
She is unfazed about the media reports that her idea of choosing a groom in India through a TV show has not been appreciated back in Pakistan.
“The show is called Veena ka Vivaah. This custom is a very very old tradition even before the partition. I am not sure whether it’s a Hindu tradition or a Muslim tradition, it’s just that I know it’s an Indian culture.”
Come April and Veena will start hunting for her Mr Right. Once the 17 finalist are finalised shooting will resume in April and the show is slated to go on air in the month of May/June.
Finding true love from the 75,000 entries is a daunting task but Veena is keen to make it work this time.
“I think it’s very beautiful and the idea is very exciting when a girl is given the right to select her groom. I am looking for my husband in the show.”

Veena Malik’s horror film to release in May
Source: hindustantimes.com
Veena Malik, who has been making headlines over the last few months, is now all set to star in a 3D horror film, Mumbai 125 KM. It’s being directed by Hemant Madhukar who has to his credit last year’s superhit Telugu movie, Vastadu Naa Raju. The film is expected this May.
“After a smashing hit, many questioned my decision to make a Hindi 3D movie. But I haven’t forgotten Chota Chetan (1998) that I watched as a kid,” says Madhukar, who two years ago had directed another ghost story, A Flat (2010), that was a debacle.
Mumbai 125 KM revolves around five friends who are stranded on a highway one dark night. The director refuses to divulge any details beyond this. All he promises is that it wil be a “treat” for audience.
The film also stars Vedita Pratap Singh and Karanveer Bohra, but Veena is undoubtedly the star. The Pakistani actor had created a flutter when she suddenly went missing.
Isn’t Madhukar taking a risk by casting the errant actor in his chiller-thriller? The director admits that when even though Veena fit the role to the T, he was hesitant about signing her. “But she promised me that she would give the challenging role her best shot. And after working with her, I’ve realised that she’s a dedicated actor,’ he says.
“I’m sure people’s opinion of her will change after my film releases.”
It was recently reported by a Pakistani daily that Veena was having problems with Indian immigration officials, who had refused to process her visa following numerous controversies. Madhukar is not worried: “When I last spoke to her she said that she was returning to India in the first week of February. I am confident she will keep her promise.”

Match point

The indefatigable Veena Malik is on a public search for a husband, but will anyone be able to equal Ashmit?
SHE’S MADE AN abundance of headlines over the last few months and with her upcoming movies and shows including an item song in Bollywood release Gali Gali Mein Chor Hai, don’t expect the tenacious Pakistani actress Veena Malik to fade away any time soon.
Getting ready for Imagine TV’s The Bachelorette-styled reality show Swayamvar, the beautiful performer, who shot to fame in the fourth season of India’s Bigg Boss where she met new best friend actor Ashmit Patel (Fight Club – Members Only, Toss), told City Times that she is completely willing to marry one of the contestants if they fit the bill.
“It depends on the person, but I am definitely open to get married and hope to find the one. However, he has to prove that he is worthy enough to marry me,” the Mohabbataan Sachiyaan star revealed.
It was a turbulent end to 2011 for Veena. Stories ranged from the outraged reaction back in her home nation to pictures that featured in men’s magazine FHM, to a brief disappearance leading to speculation that the actress had been kidnapped, to more controversy on her choice to play the biographical role of a sex worker named Madhuri in the soon to be premiered film Zindagi 50-50. At one point it seemed that not a day went past without Veena’s name linked to yet another scandal. With such a media furore it was difficult to predict what kind of interview would ensue when she touched down in Dubai to welcome in the New Year with the aforementioned Ashmit at the Fortune Plaza Hotel. Yet, the young woman that greeted us was totally unlike the personality she arguably likes to put forward in some television appearances. Sitting down with Veena, casually dressed in a T-shirt and jeans, she came across as thoughtful, sweet and at times overwhelmingly honest, to the point of sounding blunt.
HUSBAND MATERIAL
The conversation began by focusing on Swayamvar, which will air on the Imagine TV network. This will be the fourth series of the programme that looks to find a suitable life partner for its star through a series of challenges contestants must complete to prove their devotion. Open to any applicant from around the world, it was put to Veena what characteristics she hopes the final chosen few will possess.
“Looks are something I can compromise on. I’m not looking for a really good-looking man. If he is good looking, that’s okay too, but average is fine. The one thing is he has to have enough money to take care of me. If I were to say money is not important I would be lying. I’m not going to lie.”
It was a refreshingly straightforward answer to the question, quashing the notion that the show may be full of beauty-pageant scripted material that usually has the lady in question spouting lines on how a good sense of humour conquers all. Veena did go on to qualify her statement, though, with her thoughts on the importance of love.
“For me love has to be unconditional. It has to be pure and pristine. I cannot enter into a lifetime together without love and hopefully that will happen with one of the men on the show.”
But what about her views on looks? Obviously attraction plays a huge part in settling down with someone – surely she wouldn’t be too impressed if a ringer for Michael Moore strolled in, would she? Everyone has their tastes and limits, so who would the ideal suitor resemble? For this question, the artist turned uncharacteristically bashful. Making furtive glances at Ashmit, who was also party to the discussion, Veena couldn’t take the smile off her face.
“Don’t say me,” the actor jokingly warned – a request the beauty could not oblige.
“He should look at least a little like Ashmit,” Veena said. “He is the closest friend of mine so should be like him.”
COUPLE QUERY
Sat with the duo, it was clear that there was at least the hint that the idea of becoming more than just good friends had been mooted before. Unequivocally comfortable in each other’s company, we don’t want to suggest there was more than meets the eye, but the magnetism was certainly palpable.
The question had to be asked if Veena would ever be willing to give it a go with her best friend, a confessed non-believer in marriage. Her answer in the negative seemed more a result of Ashmit’s reluctance to ever enter into the matrimonial institution rather than a lack of interest.
“If he proposed I would have thought about it, but he never did. I believe in formalising things where he doesn’t. So, it’s not going to happen. He’s probably not rich enough, but he is good looking. I’m not upset, though.
“I believe in signing a contract and being together officially. It’s the right thing when you know that you have found the correct person. I know the person will be right because I can predict the future that way.”
This revelation will come as good news to the millions of male fans Veena can count among her admirers and not least the Swayamvar finalists. The confirmed singleton went on to further qualify whom she would like to meet on the show by adding that they could be of any age (within reason), nationality or religious denomination.
BEST FOOT FORWARD
The start of a new year is a time when one looks forward with a clean slate. Last year was extremely eventful for Veena, but with the possibility of five Bollywood releases this year, it could be that the storm is fully behind her. Yet, a meeting couldn’t go by without a brief mention of how the FHM case, where alleged topless pictures of the artist were published, is going and if there was any truth to the rumours that went flying round when she went incommunicado for a few days in December.
“The media in Pakistan and India immediately react to something and make it much bigger than it is. They do not know the facts,” Veena explained. “After the images there was immediate reaction saying ‘Veena did this.’ They did not even ask me.
“The first thing I said was that these pictures were morphed. You should at least listen to the poor girl when she is telling you what happened. I did not pose nude or topless, it’s simple. None of the images are like that.”
She went on to say that the case is still being debated in an Indian court, but she expects a positive verdict.
“The FHM guys claim they have got a video of me, proving I took those shots as they are; where is the video? Now they are hiding and not even talking about it. I’m the victim. I got cheated.
“With the ‘disappearance’ – I had two days off. When I switched on my phone after I had rested, I came to know about the whole fiasco and again all the blame was put on me.”
In response to how she handles the pressure and the best way to move on Veena concluded with the old adage that whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.
“Every year I want to learn and move on. I never regret the mistakes I make, but I learn not to repeat them.”
Ashmit’s take
On not believing in marriage…
I believe in having a life partner or soul mate to spend the rest of my life with. It’s just the pressures that come with marriage that I don’t agree with. Maybe later in life, as I grow, I may understand it a little better, but as of now I don’t ever want to get married.
If you have children it makes life easier on them if you’re formally married with the legalities and all. But the way marriage is, especially in India, it has degraded over the past decade. Ten years ago it was unheard of to get divorced, but now it’s very commonplace. Friends of mine are getting divorced, so where’s the sanctity of the institution? When you’re up at the alter saying the words, do they mean anything any more? I don’t believe them if it’s so easy to give up.
I believe in spirituality and having a soul mate beside me for life, but without signing a contract.
On meeting Veena’s future husband
He has to get along with me; I’m her only friend! I’m happy if she finds someone she really likes.
On her “disappearance”
I spoke to a Hindi channel in India at the time and said ‘I’m her closest friend, I know she’s fine and if anyone should be worried it should be me and I’m not.’ They didn’t listen. They had me smuggling her to the border because her visa expired and all sorts, it was crazy, but that’s what happens when you’re in show business.

Veena Malik vows to prove innocence over ‘nude’ photo scandal to dad who disowned her
Source:mirror.co.uk
The Pakistani model caught up in a ‘nude’ FHM photoshoot row has vowed to prove her innocence to the father who disowned her over the scandal.
Veena Malik denied posing naked after saucy photos of the Bollywood star appeared on the Indian online edition of the men’s magazine.
Despite the actress insisting the shoot was “bold” but not nude, her father Malik Mohammad Aslam turned his back on his daughter.
In an interview at the time, he said: “I have disowned her.
“I have severed all ties with her and I don’t want her to have any share in whatever meagre assets I have until she is cleared of the controversy and pledges not to visit India again.”
Now, the brunette model has opened up about how the x-rated photos scandal has impacted on her relationship with her family.
Speaking to Alpha, Ms Malik vowed not to speak to her father until she has proved her innocence.
She reportedly said: “My father won’t speak to me on the phone right now. My mother told him I didn’t pose nude but he doesn’t want to listen.
“So I will not speak to him until I have proof in my hand that I did nothing wrong. Yes, I did a bold shoot but not a nude shoot.
The star, who caused a stir when she was reported missing amid the scandal last year, added: “My father knows the type of personality I have.
“He knows I’m a strong person with my own mind. But he’s really upset with me right now.
“But I will explain my side of the story when all this mess is over. He has asked me to quit show business many times but I can’t, I enjoy it too much.”

In the magazine’s cover image, Ms Malik is shown wearing no clothing, but with her arms and legs discreetly positioned to keep her covered.
She has the letters ISI stencilled on her arm, representing Pakistan’s powerful spy agency, the Inter-Services Intelligence agency.
Defending her decision to pose with the government logo on her body, Ms Malik reportedly told Alpha: “I wanted to give the ISI a positive image.
“If something bad has happened in India people always say, “the ISI is behind it”. I wanted to change that.
“They can think whatever they want, but I did it with a positive view in mind.
“To me the ISI is just an institution in Pakistan. I don’t even know what they do. It’s not a forbidden word is it?”
Ms Malik’s lawyer, Ayaz Bilawala, denied the nude cover photo was authentic and said Ms Malik was wearing underwear throughout the entire shoot.
